ALICE
The memory of Ransom's touch lingered on my skin, a phantom caress that danced up and down my curves. I donât think heâd planned to fuck me last night, but damn . . .
I needed what he was dishing out.
Iâd played him like a fucking violin. I let him think I didnât know anything about sucking dick. It was so satisfying, so hot, listening to him give me orders like I didnât have a clue.
Of course I had a clue.
Being outstanding at blowjobs was how I got rich boys to buy me whatever I wanted in high school and college. It wasnât that I couldnât afford those things. I totally could. I only did it because I didnât want to spend my money when I could spend theirs.
And spend it, I did.
Guys were like tile floorsâlay âem right the first time, and you could walk all over them forever.
So when I gobbled up Ransomâs huge cock and started humming while he deep-throated me, I knew I was going to get exactly what I wanted. Iâd stroked his ego just as much as I stroked his cock.
In return, Ransom had brought me to the height of pleasure again and again, pushing me to places I didnât know even existed. But then he ordered me to look at him while I came, and I started to come undone.
In that moment when our eyes met, something shifted between us. It shifted in me, anyway. It felt dangerously close to catching feelings.
Did he feel it too?
Could a demon even have feelings?
I yawned and opened my eyes, expecting to see his hulking, muscular body resting beside mine.
Instead, I saw black metal bars.
I scrambled to sit up and immediately smacked my head against cold, hard metal.
âMotherfucker!â
I winced at the pain and rubbed my head, my grogginess quickly replaced by confusion and rising anger. Ransom had caged me like an animal at the foot of his bed!
What the hell was this bullshit?
Any warmth I'd felt for him instantly evaporated, replaced by simmering resentment.
I heard him laugh nearby. Then I watched him slip out of bed and into his black robe and slippers.
âWhat the fuck is this?" I spat, narrowing my eyes at him. Ransom merely smirked, unfazed by my bitterness.
"Good morning, Alice," he replied, his tone infuriatingly nonchalant. "Did you sleep well?"
"Like you actually give a shit!â I snarked, propping myself up on an elbow. I banged on the bars with my other fist, the metallic clang echoing through the bedroom. âI have to pee! Let me out of here!â
"Ah, but where would be the fun in that?" Ransom mused, stepping closer to the cage. His gaze locked onto mine, a predatory glint in his eyes. "You see, my pet, last night was . . . unexpected, but it doesn't change anything between us. You're still here to be trained. Pets sleep in cages, not in their master's bed."
âHereâs a newsflash, asshole!â I snapped, my anger boiling over. âYouâre not supposed to fuck your pets!â
"Perhaps not," he admitted with a wry grin.
